A Camp America medical is a health assessment for people travelling to the USA to work at a summer camp. It confirms you are medically fit to take part in the programme and includes a review of your medical history and general health, with the required Camp America paperwork completed.

What to expect during the medical

What to bring
Please bring your Camp America medical form, details of any medication you take and any relevant information about your medical history. Please bring your summary care record from your GP - this MUST include your full vaccination record as this is required to complete your form.
Where to attend
In clinic only.
Certificate issued
Your Camp America medical form will be completed by the doctor during your assessment. You will receive your completed form at the end of your appointment, ready for you to submit as part of your Camp America application.
Certificate validity period
The medical is completed for your Camp America application. Any requirements about how recently the medical must have been completed will be set by Camp America, so please check the latest guidance provided with your application.
