Management Referrals.
A management referral provides employers with independent occupational health advice when there are concerns about an employee's health and its impact on work. This may include long-term sickness absence, frequent absences, reduced performance, workplace adjustments, or a return to work following illness or injury. Following an assessment, we provide a clear report with practical recommendations to help employers support their employees, manage workplace risks, and make informed decisions while promoting a healthy and productive workforce.

The process
Step 1 – Submit a Referral
Submit your management referral securely through our online occupational health portal, Orchid Live. The portal allows you to provide the relevant background information, referral questions, and supporting details, ensuring we have everything needed to complete an effective assessment.
Step 2 – Employee Assessment
Once the referral has been reviewed, we arrange an occupational health consultation with the employee, either in person or online. We use Orchid Live to securely communicate with both the employee and the referrer throughout the process, keeping all parties updated and ensuring a clear, efficient referral journey.
Step 3 – Receive Your Report
Following the assessment, we prepare a clear and impartial occupational health report. The report addresses your referral questions and provides practical recommendations around fitness for work, workplace adjustments, and appropriate support measures. The completed report is shared securely through the portal, and can be downloaded.
Step 4 – Implement Recommendations
Your management team can review the recommendations and consider the most appropriate next steps. Where required, we can provide further occupational health support and follow-up assessments.
